What is it?

A silver white metallic element, light in weight, ductile, malleable and not readily corroded or tarnished.

Aluminium extrusion is a technique used to transform aluminium alloy into objects with definitive cross-sectional profile. This process makes the most use of the aluminium’s unique combination of physical characteristics, allowing for easy casting as an example.

At Alea we work with polished and anodised aluminium.

Fun Fact

Why are there two names? Sir Humphry Davy proposed the name ALUMUNUM, back before the element was officially discovered. However, the name ALUMINUM was adopted to conform with IUM names of most other elements. In 1925 the American chemical society decided to go back to the original ALUMINUM. The United Sates uses a different name from most other countries.

Where we use it

Aluminium can be found on Archimede, Eos, Eracle, Odeon, Philo, Titano, Zefiro and on certain storage products.
